CHALLENGE Design an intimate, refined, European-style hotel--with the look and feel of a secluded retreat--in the midst of the world's largest city.

SOLUTION The design of the hotel does not attempt to mirror its immediate urban surroundings. Rather, it respects the traditions of European-inspired Mexican architecture and is derived from a blending of Spanish Colonial and historic French influences.

SIZE 1.75 acres 347,000 square feet 240 guestrooms (40 suites)

AMENITIES Indoor-outdoor restaurant; cafe; private business center; health club; rooftop pool area; 13,000 square feet of meeting space, banquet and conference facilities
