Edition opens first Middle East hotel

Marriott International’s luxury brand Edition Hotels will open its first property in the UAE this month, marking its entrance to the Middle Eastern market.

The Abu Dhabi Edition has 198 rooms and 57 exclusive residences “ideal for longer stays”, Marriott said.

Rates start from $250 (£159), including breakfast, and bookings are now open ahead of a November 21 launch.

The lobby, designed by Ian Schrager Company and Wimberly Interiors, contains group meeting tables, a pool table, a bar and a barista station. The lounge features a large installation, In 20 Steps, by art collective Studio Drift and Czech glass company Lasvit.
