WATG Honolulu Expands Leadership

Global design firm WATG is pleased to announce the promotion of Janice Li to Associate Vice President for the Honolulu office.

With over 18 years of experience, Janice is a recognized leader in Architecture and will bolster WATG’s ability to deliver innovative design solutions to the firm’s growing regional client roster. Li is LEED accredited and served on the Board of Directors at AIA Honolulu from 2009-2010.

Since joining WATG in 2005, Li has made significant contributions to several award-winning projects, including the Shangri-La Maldives, a five-star all villa resort; and the Mandarin Oriental in Taiwan. Her most recent projects include the Alohilani Resort renovation, Waikiki Beach; a ski resort master plan in Chongli, China; and a beach clubhouse in Cambodia.

Li attended Punahou School in Honolulu, Hawaii, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College and a Masters in Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Founded in 1945 in Waikiki, WATG’s Honolulu studio has been responsible for award-winning local properties including Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, The Fairmont Kea Lani, Turtle Bay Resort renovation, and Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa and the firm’s first commission on the iconic Royal Hawaiian Resort in Waikiki.
