Hoiana Shores Golf Club
Since opening in late 2019, this 18-hole course has rapidly become regarded as one of the world’s best
18-hole golf course
The Hoiana Shores Golf Club is the first of two courses to be developed within the $4 billion 985-hectare Hoiana Casino and Resort development on the Vietnamese coast south of Danang, which also features components designed by WATG (Master Planning, Architecture and Landscape Architecture).
Following a strong links and dunes visual character, and conceived in collaboration with Robert Trent Jones II, the course and surrounding landscape consists predominantly of native grasses incorporating a large open bunker system. Nature-inspired artificial irrigation lakes are designed to recycle surface rainwater and encourage wetland edge habitats to thrive.
Since opening for play in late 2019, Hoiana Shores Golf Club has ranked at No.1 on Golf Digest’s 2020 “The Best Golf Courses in Every Country” for Vietnam and, more recently, has taken out the title of “World’s Best New Golf Course 2020” in the World Golf Awards.
In addition to the course, WATG is also currently designing various components the accompanying Golf Clubhouse and adjacent Casino and Hotel.
