Jinshuo Hotel + Resort is a 429-key, 21-acre resort in Sichuan, China, designed by WATG across Architecture + Design Consultancy, Landscape Architecture, and Wimberly Interiors studios. The design draws from ancient Han culture through rammed-earth walls, lantern-lit guest pathways, and a natural material palette of earth tones and floor-to-ceiling glass that maintains a continuous visual connection between the interior and the surrounding landscape. Guest routes weave through tea and dining pavilions, a lily pond, a boathouse, and a lakefront boardwalk, with landscaped gardens and lookout points offering moments of seclusion throughout. The project received the Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects Gold Award in 2019.

Guest journeys through the resort lit by lantern elements create a feeling of warmth, serenity and tranquility. Water features are thus dappled with soft light generating a gentle glow.
The natural palette of the interiors continues the earth and nature concept seamlessly from the exterior. Floor-to-ceiling glass keeps guests connected to the environment and the beauty of the site.
The pathways to tea and dining pavilions, to the lily pond, the boathouse or lake-front boardwalk are lushly framed with landscaping. Lovely gardens and lookout points offer seclusion and meditation at one with nature.
