A refined coastal dining retreat that reflects the relaxed sophistication of Southern California while drawing inspiration from the vibrant culinary spirit of Baja.
Ponto Lago is designed as a refined coastal dining retreat that reflects the relaxed sophistication of Southern California while drawing inspiration from the vibrant culinary spirit of Baja.
The interiors balance airy openness with warm materiality, incorporating light woods, woven textures, and soft oceanic tones that echo the surrounding Batiquitos lagoon and coastal horizon. Indoor–outdoor connectivity and an open show kitchen enhance the experiential quality of the space, creating a setting that feels both casually elegant and deeply rooted in place.
The Lobby Bar combines modern elegance with natural materials like wood, marble, and leather. The space features large windows, custom lighting, and a muted color palette, creating a warm, sophisticated atmosphere perfect for relaxed gatherings.

At the restaurant entrance, an intimate five-seat, counter-height bar was conceived as a craft cocktail destination, evoking the warmth of gathering in a friend’s kitchen. As both a welcome point and social anchor, it encourages conversation and connection from the moment guests arrive, setting an approachable yet refined tone.
The project scope included a comprehensive kitchen transformation, reimagining traditional back-of-house functions into a visually engaging front-of-house expo kitchen that celebrates culinary artistry and guest interaction.
A layered palette of light woods, woven textiles, marble mosaic floor inlays, and softly weathered finishes introduces depth and authenticity throughout the space. Together, these elements create a relaxed residential warmth that feels both curated and inviting.
