Onu at Giza Palace is a sophisticated celebration of Pan-Asian textures and flavors. With a bold ceiling feature inspired by traditional Vietnamese fishing baskets, drawing guests’ eyes upward, creating a rhythmic canopy that settles over guests. The woven aesthetic carries through in the seating and floor lighting, which subtly traces the contours of the tables, creating a cohesive and immersive atmosphere.

Materials in the space are chosen to honor the passage of time.

Materials in the space are chosen to honor the passage of time, with aged terracotta feature panels, handcrafted wall tiles, and aged ceramic flooring adding a sense of history and texture. Natural-edged timber tabletops ground the design, providing warmth and contrast to the more tactile, industrial elements.

The artwork throughout the restaurant draws inspiration from the vibrancy of Asian street food markets and the rich heritage of Asian craftsmanship, infusing the space with a dynamic energy.

The combination of these materials and design elements elevates the dining experience, while intimate low-level lighting creates a sense of sophistication, inviting guests to enjoy both the culinary and sensory journey.
