Travel for Aristocrats
The Venice Simplon Orient Express, once the favoured means of travel for aristocrats between Paris and Istanbul, just got an upgrade, thanks to Wimberly Interiors, who helmed the interiors of three suites onboard the luxury train. Adorned with opulent marquetry, the gorgeous ‘Grand Suites’ offer guests, who will be able to luxuriate in the new and improved interiors in April 2018, a once in a lifetime opportunity to be transported to the golden era of travel in suitably contemporary luxury across Europe.
Drawing inspiration from the adventure and style of each of the destinations the train weaves through—Paris, Venice and Istanbul, Wimberly Interiors has used ornate detailing, hand-beaded embroidery and lavish fabrics to reflect each city’s unique character.
