About

Damien Follone brings over ten years of architectural and interior knowledge to the Wimberly Interiors team. His design approach and critical thinking ensure that each project is strategically positioned from concept through to delivery with emphasis on hotel food and beverage experiences.

Damien is proficient in understanding the needs of the client and ensuring that the design proposal and detailing of a scheme reflect the brand’s aspirations. He recognizes the importance of analyzing local and global trends, as well as translating them into a holistic proposal – from food concept to environmental design.

Having studied and worked in architecture in Australia, he brings both high-level resort planning and human-scale design skills from a number of projects in Oceania and Asia. More recently, his hotel experience in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia has allowed him to work with renowned luxury brands to analyze, position and design their food and beverage offerings to be successful and relevant in the local market.

Some of Damien’s most recent projects include the acclaimed Fairmont Taghazout Bay in Morocco, Kempinski Hotel Jinan in China, the Abu Dhabi EDITION, St. Regis Astana in Kazakhstan, and the renovation of several Mitsis properties including the Summer Palace in Kos, Greece.
