With over 35 years of project and cost management experience, Ian has worked with the world’s leading clients, designers and operators delivering hospitality and mixed-use projects in the UK, Europe, Central Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. Ian specialises in the organisation and management of project teams and the development of project procurement and execution strategy. Ian was the Co-Founder of Implementar and successfully ran this business for 12 years prior to becoming a Managing Principal at WATG in January 2024; bringing his team and their extensive skill sets in project management in house.
Notable new build projects that Ian has been associated with include the Intu Costa del Sol in Spain, the St Regis Astana, the Waldorf Astoria in Doha and the Baha Mar Resort in Nassau and private residences in Saudi Arabia. Ian has also gained significant experience on large, complex refurbishment projects such as Cumberland Hotel, UK, Sheraton & Wyndham Cable Beach Hotel, Bahamas, and landmark hotels in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Ras al Khaimah and Sharjah. His skills also include managing large, international design teams to deliver value for clients.
Previously, as a Partner in Davis Langdon located in the UK, Bahamas and Abu Dhabi, Ian led their Hotels and Resorts group throughout Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean.
