Ian Simpson has a vast portfolio spanning sectors including retail, residential and mixed-use, and regions as diverse as Asia Pacific, the Middle East and the Americas, Ian has a keen interest in ensuring that buildings best respond to environmental, cultural, and societal needs.
Prior to joining WATG in late 2022, Ian spent more than 25 years in an international practice where he oversaw the opening of the firm’s Singapore, Mumbai and Middle East operations, served as a Board Member, and was lead architect on numerous notable projects including Google’s headquarters in Mumbai, Promenade 57 Jakarta, the Al Bandar residential scheme in Abu Dhabi and the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line Terminal in Miami.
Based in our Singapore office, Ian builds upon WATG’s long history as the world’s preeminent hospitality design firm, applying its signature people and planet-first ethos to projects of all shapes, sizes and uses across the world.
