Ron is one of WATG’s most experienced design leaders, directing WATG teams for over two decades on a wide variety of projects in locations around the world. Currently based in our Irvine office, he is the Senior Leader on projects throughout South East Asia and the Middle East. Ron served as an advisor and design leader for the overall vision and successful completion of the Sofitel Nusa Dua Beach Resort in Bali, Indonesia, which was a seleceted as the host country venue for the 2013 APEC Conference including the Heads of State Meetings that were held in the specially designed retreat center.

Recently Ron has lead design efforts that include the 240 room Pullman Vimala Hills Hotel and Conference Center, near Jakarta and a Swissotel Luxury Hotel and Residences in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He was also the design team leader for the recently completed Quinta do Lorde Marina, Resort and Spa on the Portuguese island of Madeira.

In addition to the design of hotels and resorts Ron has also been active in large scale master planning and urban design projects including King Abdullah Economic City north of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, the Uptown Cairo planned community project in Cairo, Egypt as well as the master plan for Marassi resort, residential and recreational community on the north coast of Egypt.

Over his nearly 30 years with WATG Ron has been responsible for the design of renowned hotels and resorts for Clients ranging from the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company, Tropicana Hotel & Casino, SJM Macau, Emaar Properties to Agung Podomoro Land.
