WATG is delighted to reveal the integrated design for a series of ultra-luxurious residences in Porto Montenegro, one of the world’s most idyllic yachting communities.

WATG’s new master plan for the entire Porto Montenegro property defines a long-term vision for a super yacht destination. The plan is strategically aligned to position Porto Montenegro as the premier home port as well as the seasonal hub of the Adriatic. The first phase of the master plan’s implementation comprises 62 luxury residences, providing residents and visitors an unrivalled premier lifestyle. The one, two and three bedroom residences offer unobstructed views of picturesque Boka Bay, the village of Porto Montenegro, and the inspiring Vrmac mountain range.

Strongly influenced by the 400-year Venetian history of Boka Bay, part of the building design echoes historic aspects of Montenegrin architecture, while other components pay homage to the glamour of international waterfront destinations, such as Miami Beach’s Art Deco district. The buildings blend clean horizontal lines with traditional red pantile roofs, classical motifs, locally sourced stone and proportions that echo Montenegro’s rich history. The streamlined design of the new properties pays tribute to the area’s naval heritage and the sleek silhouettes of the luxury yachts in Porto Montenegro, forming the next stage of the destination’s evolution.

“Critical to a great resort design is the guest experience. As a design team, we have considered the use of residences by the end user throughout the seasonal cycle. Clearly Porto Montenegro is an urban resort set within a fabulous marina, however the residents pool deck provides an unexpected, exclusive and joyful alternative from the lively waterfront scene.” Jeremy Heyes, Senior Vice President, WATG

WATG’s design provides a counterbalance to the historic atmosphere and charming character of Kotor, one of the world’s most beautiful UNESCO protected heritage sites, as well as the unspoiled Montenegrin landscape, creating an authentic and contemporary addition to the region.

Large internal atria and fully glazed external walls in the living areas allow brilliant sunlight to flood into the residences. A multitude of corner residences benefit from spectacular dual aspect views of Kotor Bay and the marina, while deep terraces allow residents to enjoy outdoor living during the warm summer months.

On the pool deck, a tiered infinity pool takes centre stage, accentuated by palm trees, and surrounded by lush native plantings, echoing Montenegro’s natural beauty. Residents can enjoy a separate 25-metre lap pool, tranquil plunge pools, floating terraces and windows that carefully frame spectacular panoramic views over the glistening sea.

Residents will also have access to a fitness and wellness centre, fantastic restaurants, a bridge link to the Regent Hotel and proximity to all local amenities on offer, including boutique shops, restaurants and bars.
