CHALLENGE The design challenge was to create a palatial and timeless resort that would take full advantage of its prime beachfront location, while protecting a delicate ecosystem.

SOLUTION The hotel's twin belvedere towers, gracefully arched windows, and classic balustrades, are carefully reminiscent of the monumental villas of Italy and late nineteenth century hotels of Florida. A Mediterranean theme results in a commanding sense of place with symmetry, gardens, fountains and pools.
