CHALLENGE To adapt an otherwise disappearing traditional architecture and craft.

SOLUTION The basic design motif for the buildings of Tanjong Jara was found in the indigenous istanas, the elegantly crafted wooden palaces of Malaysian sultans. The resort's original beauty and Malaysian feel were preserved through decorative motifs.
