Sheraton Bailuhu Resort, Huizhou

CHALLENGE In response to the market demand for an international standard lodging and residential community development, WATG was commissioned to master plan a beautiful lake-front site located on the northern outskirts of Huizhou.

SOLUTION With Huizhou's natural setting in mind, the WATG design team created a romantic interplay between architecture and the lake front similar to that found in Como and Portofino. The design team reinterpreted the architectural forms in contemporary urban resort language such as a promenade, hard and soft landscape features, and a gently man-made hill mimicking existing natural land forms.

SIZE 438 guestrooms: 740 serviced apartments in two towers; 65,000 square meter mixed-use residential and commercial building; 15,000 square meter office, commercial, and bus terminal building;

AMENITIES Golf community; yacht club; man-made beach; water park;
