Sao Vicente Golf & Beach Resort

CHALLENGE The challenge was to master plan a world-class golf and beach resort in a remote, barren valley to include hotels, a range of residential products, golf and recreational amenities. It was imperative that the development take a serious stance on sustainability, with water being an extremely valuable resource in Cape Verde, at the same time ensuring that carbon emissions be minimised in design, construction and implementation.

SOLUTION A riparian corridor supporting a diverse landscape was designed to carry grey water from the development while filtering and purifying it. This central green spine became the landscape frontage for the property, accommodating golf and thus raising the value of adjacent properties.
