CHALLENGE The challenge was to design a premiere residential enclave in Shanghai, in a classic European style. The client desired 18 ultra luxury villas that would offer individuality, privacy and exclusivity, with a feeling of timelessness and permanence.

SOLUTION The design team conceived the development as a gated community to offer both security and exclusivity to the residents. The entrance is defined by elegant wrought iron gates set into a stonewall and embraced by a classic landscaped garden. Stone, brick, slate and tile were used extensively with a seamless definition between exterior and interior components. All major rooms were oriented to the south to ensure the villas have a light and airy feeling.

SIZE Site: 4 hectares (9.88 acres) 18 villas -average 1,490 square meters each (16,000 square feet each)
