Ocean Villas at Turtle Bay Resort

CHALLENGE Convert existing one- and two-story oceanfront buildings with hotel rooms to three-story luxury apartments while creating a contemporary Hawaiian ambiance. Design additional buildings for seven total villa structures.

SOLUTION The conversion involved demolition of existing interior walls and roofs, building additional floors with a new Hawaiian-style roof and adding generous lanais to take advantage of ocean and garden views. Four additional buildings continue the style. All interior architecture and furnishings include simple uncluttered lines with quiet, cool colors emphasizing the Hawaii beach environment.
