CHALLENGE The challenge was to design a residential community organized in a pattern similar to that of a small village, using materials and layout that were organic in feeling.
SOLUTION The Oak Valley Destination Resort consists of five major development zones that include three golf courses, multiple and single-unit timeshare buildings, hotels, an alpine ski village, retail center, retirement community, and corporate training facility. The hillside site allows for long-range and golf course views throughout the development. The palette of building materials found throughout the complex includes natural stone, stucco, and slate-covered roofs.
