Movenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea

CHALLENGE The design challenge was to create a one-of-a-kind property that would lure tourists from the more mature seaside destinations of Israel and Egypt.

SOLUTION This is the first International-standard five-star resort in Jordan. Working with, instead of against, the sloping, boulder-strewn site, WATG anchored the resort with an ornate main building and guestrooms designed to recall the streets of old Jerusalem. The resort's village includes restaurants, shops, artisan workshops, and a courtyard typical of small Jordanian towns.
