CHALLENGE The most significant design challenge was to work with the site - a deep valley leading to the sea, and to create a distinct sense of place.

SOLUTION The hotel building, which incorporates design forms derived from traditional Korean architecture, cascades down one side of the valley, while elegant 'farmhouse' villa suites are perched on the other side. The Hotel Lotte Cheju Resort incorporates the natural beauty of its location and creates its own ambiance of leisure and luxury.
