CLIENT Royal Court Affairs, Royal Estates Affairs, Sultanate of Oman

CHALLENGE The challenge was to create a high-impact landscaped area for a 1,000-seat concert hall in a new urban district, while fitting in with the local culture in a newly developed urban location.

SOLUTION Formal landscaped gardens surrounding the Opera House provide a brilliant setting that is fitting to its prominence, using circulation patterns in the style of modern Omani palaces.

SIZE Eight hectares (20 acres)
